Summer of 2010: Free Agency
Most sports fans know the 2003 draft class of the NBA as one of the most talented draft classes of all time.
The first pick went to the Cleveland Cavaliers and they drafted a young superstar out of St. Vincent – St. Mary High School in Ohio, LeBron James.

Darco Milicic was the second pick by the Detroit Pistons but Milicic may have been the weak point of the draft class. The next three picks consisted of Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.

With the end of this year’s trade here all teams are basically finalized for the remainder of this season.
Anyone who really pays attention to the NBA knows that this summer is the summer that LeBron James becomes a free agent. With that notion in hand, it is evident as to why teams have been making room in their salary caps. Every franchise would jump at a chance for LeBron James.
It’s obvious that any team who wants LeBron will have to be willing to max out his contract price. Money is not an issue to LeBron’s decision, instead he should be thinking about what team he has the best chance to win a highly deserved NBA Championship with.
LeBron isn’t the only player up for free agency. Don’t forget about his surrounding top 5 picks in the 2003 NBA draft. Carmelo Anthony seems comfortable in Denver but Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade are both up for free agency after this season as well.
Chicago has put the most effort in for Chris Bosh. As for Dwyane Wade and LeBron, it seems more like a NBA conspiracy theory but the Knicks have shown the most interest.
The Knicks have also recently acquired Tracy McGrady. If all 3 of those superstars make it on to the Knicks, you can almost guarantee an NBA dynasty.
With such high caliber names up for a team change the light seems to miss some other players.
